The UniCarriers Holdings Corporation was created in 2011 from the mergers of the brands Nissan Forklift, TCM and Atlet. Today, the company is headquartered in Tokyo with branches in Europe, America and Asia. Its European headquarters are located in Mölnlycke near Gothenburg (Sweden). As Head of Product Support WH (Warehouse forklift trucks) you will lead the Product Support WH team in an international environment which is responsible for aftermarket support to subsidiaries, international distributors, dealers & OEM partnersas well as investigating and driving product quality improvements. The team is the first line of contact towards the markets and act between the various stakeholders/departments within the organization.
Main tasks and responsiblities
You will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing the team and guide in how to operate as well as seeking ways to improve the level of support towards the markets and to streamline the way of working. You are the spokesperson for the team towards other departments when finding more efficient ways of working and you will help setting up general prioritization for the team’s tasks and follow up on workload and split of responsibilities within the team.
As the team is small you will initially spend the biggest share of your time on participating in the daily work within the team and less time in a managing role.
The key responsibilities for the Product Support WH team are to provide technical support to the aftermarket organizations’ in response to questions regarding the products’ and services’. Predominantly Product Support act as second line support since most markets have their own first line support set up.
The team also conduct warranty assessment and secure that warranty claims contain correct and sufficient information as well as requesting parts back for investigation to understand problems, make quality investigations and for return to the suppliers.
You will contribute to increase the customer satisfaction and reduce warranty cost by collecting, understanding and help reproduce field issues together with other departments as well as driving improvements. Additionally you will develop and provide technical service training in the principle of train the trainer and provide service information to the market. You will have approximately 30 travel days per year.
Product Support also participates in product development projects with the purpose of making all new products and components less costly to maintain, through e.g. working with the Product Managers and give aftermarket related input.
Your skills and experience
You have a technical education in electric, hydraulic and/or mechanical engineering and you are fluent in English, both spoken & written. You have documented leadership experience and are familiar with driving changes.
You will also need to have experience from technical support and product quality work, preferably in the material handling business or equivalent in the machinery industry.
