Responsibilities
As a New Grad Product Specialist, you will be part of the Product and Application Support Team supporting our global sales and service organization. You will work in a team located both in Mölnlycke, Sweden and Cluj, Romania. Having an excellent customer focus, you will troubleshoot customers product and application challenges over e-mail, telephone and by visit at the customer’s site. As part of the Product Specialists in the team you will be the in-house expert of process radar products and applications. You will gain knowledge to contribute in new development projects, quality improvement projects and work with our engineering team for product improvements.
Requirements
The Material Planning Engineer manages, maintains and develops our processes for material planning (transforming to Master Scheduling) as well as inventory control to ensure material availability and inventory turnover according to forecasts and plans. This role is responsible for monthly inventory reporting and is a key contributor to our sales and operations planning process. The Material Planning Engineer is also big part of the day-to-day business in supporting the organization with data from our business system and with different analysis. The position is also responsible for driving and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities are divided into two main categories according to below:
Material Planning and Master scheduling
• Lead forecast calls with other Emerson group companies.
• Prepare for and attend monthly sales and operation planning (S&OP;) meetings
• Use the high-level forecast to set forecast (12 month rolling) on purchase items.
• Daily support the order and production planning with material analysis to ensure correct order planning
• Drive structured planning of larger customer orders involving all critical functions to set best possible production and delivery plan
• Set the build plan for build-to-stock items according to forecasts and customer orders
• Support the process of developing master scheduling footprint
Inventory Management
• Monthly update to control value in our different stocks (RAW, WIP, FG). Drive initiative to maintain and improve stock turnover and days on hand
• Report inventory data to finance leaders and global inventory manager
• Responsible for monthly excess process to find and scrap no-use items
• Support Supply Chain with data to set correct parameters for purchase items
• Support production with data to set correct supermarket levels on build-to-stock items
• Support organization with inventory analysis as needed.
The person to be hired for this position has a university degree in Logistics, Supply chain management or industrial economy. To be successful in this position you need to be analytical and have the ability to plan and structure your daily work. Flexibility, problem solving mindset and ability to multi-task are key competencies for the position. You are also a team player used to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
Good knowledge in MS Office and especially Excel is critical. It is also important that you are fluent in English, both written and spoken as English is our company language and the daily work has many external contacts. Experience from different ERP systems is meriting.
