The team is working with everything from requirements, concept and detail design to implementation and testing. Together, you will be responsible for the development of our electronic housings, waveguides/antennas and pressure/corrosion-resistant connections made by machining of metals and polymers, forming of sheet metals, die cast and injection molding.


WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this position, you will be part of the Mechanical Engineering team where you will manage approximately seven direct reports who are highly skilled engineers with different background and skills. You will report to the Director for Mechanical Engineering.
As a manager for mechanical engineering you will:
be responsible for the personnel reporting to you as employees and contractors. This includes activities such as recruitment, personal development and support to fulfill meaningful tasks.
be Functional lead on Mechanical design deliverables. As such, you drive for results that meet the requirements of quality, innovation and speed.
work for the team’s operational implementation in order to secure aligned plans and agreements, but also on technical implementation of architecture and platforming across product programs.
secure cross functional cooperation with other functions to ensure a successful collaboration, both short term and long term. Key factors for this are good teamwork and communications as well as a creative workplace.
develop team structure to improve and make our design methods and work procedures more efficient. You will start, drive and maintain initiatives to increase the organization capability.

Requirements
You have previous experience within software product management delivering product marketing/business strategies. You have a broad technical understanding rather than deep and narrow expertise. You have strong communication and presentation abilities and leadership comes naturally for you. Furthermore, you thrive in a collaborative environment with numerous contacts.
We also see that you
Hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Are fluent in both verbal and written English.
Have at least five years of professional relevant experience.

Responsibilities
In our team, you are responsible for managing products within the Radar Product Management area throughout the entire life cycle; from idea through active sales until discontinuance. You work closely with other parts of the Product Management / Solution Management organization to achieve set goals together.
Currently, the role handles Non-Contact Radar products, however, depending on the applicant’s profile a broader responsibility within the product management team can be considered.

Requirements
To succeed in the position, you need several years of proven experience from working in a similar position. In addition, you hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
You also need to be fluent in both verbal and written Swedish and English.
