As Manufacturing Test Engineer you are responsible for ensuring accuracy, functionality and performance of primarily electronic testing within the company and at our suppliers. In the role you actively drive and optimize design for test (DFT) and Design for Assembly. You drive continuous improvements to enhance product reliability and optimize test processes.


In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Ensure that the hardware and software are also suitable for product testing at Emerson sites.
Develop and maintain hardware and software for electronic testing (FCT) at electronic suppliers. This includes crafting programmer interfaces, relay boxes, and other vital equipment.
Provide support to electronic suppliers and perform updates on FCT systems as needed.
Develop and maintain processes and instructions related to test development and calibration to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Actively engage in Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Assembly (DFA) activities to improve the testability and manufacturability of products.
Represent Operations in discussions on calibrating level instruments and production test equipment, including measuring ranges and calibration stations.
Develop guidelines for Gage RnR (Repeatability and Reproducibility), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and capability studies to ensure quality and reliability.

For This Role, You Will Need:
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent knowledge through experience.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and at least 3-5 years’ experience in electronic hardware development and testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team effort environment.
Ability to transform theoretical knowledge into the implementation of smart solutions.
Proficient in Swedish & English both spoken and written
Medium Object-oriented Programming skills (ie VB.NET or similar)



Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
• Cadence Allegro (or similar electronics cad application)
• Minitab Statistical Software (or similar)

For our Quality and Reliability department we are now looking for a System Verification Engineer with the focus to proactively ensure the right product quality through product performance and reliability testing on our level gauges and systems to secure a successful product launch. At our Innovation Centre in Sweden, you will be a core member in our cross-functional New Product Development (NPD) projects working closely with representatives from Engineering, Product Management, Operations and Supply chain.

To secure product reliability we use our tailored labs and purposely built test installations. Responsibilities
System Verification lead in New Product Development projects
Plan, prepare, execute, analyze, and report product testing with focus on reliability and performance
Provide verification expertise within the cross-functional NPD project organization
Lab responsibility, including proposing and implementing new instrumentation and equipment
Develop the test infrastructure including development of test methods, test automation and test cases



Requirements
For this position we see that you have
B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent degree in relevant field
A few years of proven experience as per defined job responsibilities
Experience from working in test lab environment
Good English communication skills, both written and verbal

In addition, this experience would be meritorious:
Statistical test planning
Basic scripting
Experience of using quality tools within Six Sigma
Good communication skills in Swedish

Provide support as Subject Matter Expert to peers within the team and the organization
Develop and share best practices to drive long term improvements

Requirements
For this position we see that you have
B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent degree in relevant field (e.g. Physics, Electronic…)
5+ years of relevant professional experience as per defined responsibilities
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferable also strong in Swedish
Ability to understand technical architecture and to solve technical problems

In addition, this experience would be meritorious:
Industry awareness - chemical, hygienic, oil&gas;, marine, and food&beverage;
Statistical test planning and preferable also Design of Experiments
