We are looking for the Approvals/Certification Engineer to join our Product Approvals team at Emerson, Rosemount Tank Radar in Gothenburg.
RTR develop sensors and complete systems based on the latest radar technologies. Our products are used in demanding environments; explosive atmospheres, safety-critical systems, applications with dangerous and aggressive chemical substances, high-pressure and high temperature applications, etc. Products must be developed, constructed, manufactured, and delivered in accordance with variety of applicable regulations and legislations worldwide.
Responsibilities
As an Approvals Engineer, you will be part of Approval's team within our product development department. The Approvals team is responsible for obtaining and maintaining relevant product certificates. In this work we are active in all stages in the product lifecycle supporting and guiding product management and marketing both in operational activities and more long-term strategic plans. Tracking, understanding and influencing existing and coming standards and regulatory demands are also part of Approval's team responsibilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Manage the product approval process and ensure the liaison between Emerson, RTR and other stakeholders
· Lead and coordinate certification assignments
· Ensure adequate agency management (ordering jobs, submittal of project applications, planning, testing, review, communication)
· Interpret design documentation and applicable standards, directives and other relevant legal requirements. Apply those requirements to our products
· Lead and coordinate periodic audits from approvals agencies
· Develop and maintain approvals specific processes, routines, tools and databases
· Provide expertise in approvals related questions to Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing
· Participate and influence technical committees in the process of developing new or revised standards
Requirements
To be successful in this role you need to have a broad technical knowledge, an intrinsic passion for and interest in not only in product safety and quality but also in people management. Since the job involves internal & external departmental coordination and communication. You would require excellent communication skill and ability to create good relationships with the stakeholders. You must possess a high level of self-discipline, ability to multitask and understand organizational risk. As a person you are driven, systematic and structured.
Hands on experience within e.g. explosion protection, functional safety, marine type approvals, radio and EMC areas are desirable but not mandatory
Education: MSc degree in Engineering (Electrical, Physic, Mechanical)
Experience: 3+ years
Language requirement: Swedish and English (good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English)

Ansvarsområden
Som feriearbetare SQE på inköpsavdelningen, tar du ansvaret att arbeta med leverantörer för att möta Emersons förväntningar på kvalitets- och leveransutfall. Vidare har du ett tätt samarbete med ankomstkontroll, strategiskt inköp, projektinköp och materialinköp för att identifiera och skapa förutsättningar för att driva avvikelser mot en lösning samt ingå i kvalitetesutredningar via kvalitetsavdelningen och med produktionspersonal.
Som feriearbetare SQE kommer du:
• Kommunicera internt och externt med leverantörer kring avvikelsehantering
• Arbeta tvärfunktionellt med kvalitetsutredningar vid behov
• Genomföra förbättringsprojekt inom inköpsavdelningen
Kvalifikationer
Vi söker dig som läser teknisk inriktning på högskole/universitetsnivå och att du minst har avslutat år två. Kurser som intresserar dig mest ligger inom kvalitetsstyrning (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM och liknande), konstruktionsteknik och tillverkningsmetoder. Du har goda kommunikationsegenskaper, bra på att bygga relationer och trivs med att arbeta i en mångfasetterad organisation. Du är lösningsorienterad och uppskattar ett systematiskt angreppssätt.
Dina datorkunskaper är goda och du behärskar svenska i tal och skrift liksom engelska som är vårt koncernspråk.

Responsibilities
Som New Grad SQE på inköpsavdelningen, ansvarar du över att arbeta med utsedda leverantörer för att möta Emersons förväntningar på kvalitetsutfall. Vidare har du ett tätt samarbete med ankomstkontroll, strategiskt inköp, projektinköp och materialinköp för att identifiera och skapa förutsättningar för att utveckla dina leverantörer.
Du ansvarar också för leverantörsutvärdering via revisioner på plats samt produktkvalificeringar på produktförändringar via vårt PPAP-system.
I tjänsten som New Grad SQE ingår följande:
• Följa upp och kommunicera leverantörers KPI-utveckling (DPPM och avvikelser)
• Deltaga i tvärfunktionella inköpsprojekt, kvalitets- och produktivitetsförbättringsprojekt initierat av Emerson eller leverantör
• Genomföra leverantörens PPAP-godkännande, genom att ta in och granska utfallsprover och dokumentation i samarbete med ankomstkontrollen
Requirements
Vi söker dig som är nyutexaminerad teknisk ingenjör där kurser som intresserar dig mest har varit inom kvalitetsstyrning (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM och liknande), konstruktionsteknik och tillverkningsmetoder.
Som person är du problemlösningsorienterad och systematiskt angreppssätt är exempel på egenskaper som utmärker dig. Du gillar att utvecklas och nå resultat tillsammans med både interna och externa intressenter.
Då kommunikation och samarbete med leverantörer och kollegor är av stor betydelse i din roll är du en person som aktivt lyssnar på andra, främjar öppen dialog och agerar optimistiskt kring problemlösningar.
Arbetet kommer ske i en internationell miljö och du behöver kunna behärska både svenska och engelska flytande i tal och skrift.
Resor förekommer i tjänsten.
