Just Arrived is now on behalf of PlusEight recruiting one person to strengthen their existing team of engineers. PlusEight is a family owned business who have specialized in safe, efficient and qualitative scaffolding structures. They operate in Sweden, Poland & Denmark.

This is a full time position and you will work office hours at PlusEight’s office in Hindås, outside of Gothenburg. This is a six month consultant assignment through Just Arrived. After these six months there are good chances to be employed by PlusEight directly. Read more about being a consultant here.

What will you do?

You will join a small team of engineers at PlusEight’s main office outside of Gothenburg. Your work will be project based and range from smaller, short projects, to more advanced projects which stretch over months. When the company receives a new project, it’s your job to calculate and present the calculations to the client. In short, your work description entails:

• Use AutoCAD to design the scaffolding, using ready made parts.


• Calculate the different circumstances, down to the smallest components, but also on a global scale, to make sure the structure holds.


• Produce a blueprint and account for your calculations.


• For more complex projects, you may have to construct weatherproof roofs using FEM.


• Systems you will use in your work include: AutoCAD, FEM, Rstab, Microsoft Excel, Math-CAD

Requirements:

• Knowledge in Solid Mechanics (Hållfasthetslära)


• Bachelor degree in Engineering


• A non prestigious, open minded, humble and transparent mindset


• A great attention to detail, meticulousness


• Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel


• Good knowledge in English OR Swedish

Of merit:

• Knowledge in Eurocode


• General interest in technology


• Experience from any of the following systems: AutoCAD, FEM, Rstab, Math-CAD
